  As the fashion,music and the skate world collide, we are starting to see a blending of styles,a little bit grungy,
a little bit gypsy and a lot of rockstar cool,

Helping to perpetuate that 'cool,skater girl image' are models and it girls,
 like British model of the year, Cara Delvigne,

The delicate beauty with statement brows, is always photographed in her grungy clothes,skater shoes and  mouse ear headphones with a statement skateboard under her arm leaving the latest shows

So are skateboards our new bling?

Are we now using our means of transport to make a statement about who we are and how we dress?

The traditional skateboard is morphing into a fashion statement piece,
but can any of us actually ride the things?? 

The hippest surf stores in town are offering boards  covered in roses and girly graphics,
Lara Bingle is seen around town with a leopard number under her arm,

And Isabel marant,the worshipped french designer has just designed her own board  and a limited number will be released  in mainstream stores as well as her own stores very soon,

 Chanel has done one...Hermes too,
Louis Vuitton the list goes on,in fact,
Hermes did their summer  print campaign around a chic  blonde girl gliding across a wharf on a sleek Hermes skateboard

The skatergirl look is all about the skinny jeans or cut-off denims,leather baseball caps,shredded loose graphic t-shirts,layered hoodies and jkts, and loud statement trainers,

A crazy blend of leather,friendship bands and gold chain with a healthy amount of skulls in the mix,
